Hello Angels, I hope everyone had an amazing week. I’m so happy it's the weekend! I look forward to the weekends more now that it's getting warm outside. Especially because things are opening up and we are outside, and it feels so good to be outside!! This week I have so many things to talk about and show you all. If you are looking for affordable makeup but still a great quality, I have the thing for you.

I purchased the Morphe Filter Effect Foundation and the price point is $20.00. I've been wearing it for 2 months now and I wanted to give a true review. I truly love it. This foundation truly lives up to its name and makes your skin look like a filter. It looks smooth and doesn't oxidize. It's a lightweight coverage, however it's also buildable to full coverage. Which is fine for me, I like a more natural look. I have combo skin and an oily T-zone but it blurs my pores. I will say though I didn't like it when I used my beauty blender. It blends better with my E63 Morphe Foundation Brush.

While I was in Tyson Corner, I went into the Morphe store. Omg I felt like it was Christmas in May, so of course I picked up more stuff. So let's go through what I grabbed.

The Filter Effect Finishing Powder #Filter 8 $12.00

I've been only wearing it for a week but so far great. I love the finish it gives. It takes the shine right out of my t-zone and It keeps my makeup looking just as it says with a filter effect.

9U| Catch The Sun $12.00

This caught my eyes because of the bright yellows. I love the browns and golds so I had to have it. It will be in summer rotation.

Sweet Tea Color Pencil $5.00

This is a beautiful amazing lip liner. Morphe has the most pigmented and smooth lip liners. They are also very affordable. It’s a pretty nice neutral brown shade.

Out & A Pout

Blushing Nude $18.00

So this took the guesswork out of trying to put together lip combos. I was so happy when I saw this box. On days when I’m wearing a natural look, this is my new go to lip look.

35S Sweet Oasis $26.00

The palette reminds me of nice spring/summer colors. So yes, in heavy rotation this season. I actually purchased this from Ulta a few weeks ago.

We have come to the end of this haul have an amazing week Angels I will leave you with these final words,

"Believe you can and you’re halfway there" -Theodore Roosevelt

Until Next Week

Love, Angel ❤

Hello Angels, I hope all you all have been well. This week is Mother’s Day weekend. I’ve always gotten sad leading up to Mother’s day not because my mom is no longer here but because of the void that I felt. This week's blog is about healing, and understanding what God has for you and why you have to go through certain things for growth. I was adopted at two years old. I always wanted to know who my birth mom was. I thought it would make me complete. I wanted to feel the love of the woman who gave birth to me, the one who would love me without conditions.

God gave me the desires of my heart November of 2005 when I meant my birth mother. Although life got in the way. She gave the ultimate sacrifice of giving up her child. I was angry and had so many feelings. When I gave it over to God I realized I wouldn't be half the woman nor mother I am today if it hadn't been for the strong family of women that were around me.

I lived with my aunt for a while in my teenage years. She taught me that being a tall woman was a beautiful thing. She was tall, she dressed nice, I would watch her do skin care every night. My love affair with skincare began. Ambi was the business!

My grandmother was my secret keeper. No matter what I did she didn’t love me any less. She taught me how to pray, how to cover myself, how to cover my kids and take care of my house. No matter what state I was living in she talked me through recipes over the phone. She would always tell me I could do anything, even when I didn't believe in myself. The last conversation I had with my grandmother she told me to take care of these babies. I promised her I would. I have been doing just that.

In my early adulthood I had older cousins that stood in the gap as a mother figure for me also. I took all those experiences into me being a mother. It truly takes a village to raise kids. I Thank God everyday because I truly would not be the woman, mother, and wife I am today without the village of mothers I have in my life. God has always provided a mother figure for me whenever I felt lost or abandoned or needed a extra boost. In my everyday life I make sure to pay it forward in the same way. So on this Mother's Day make sure to show your mother and the mothers in your village just how much they mean to you.

Until next week I will leave you with these final words,

the definition of mother {muhth -er} noun

a person who loves unconditionally, the maker and keeper of precious memories, a person much loved and greatly admired. see also: superwoman

Love, Angel❤

Hello Angels, I hope everyone is doing well. I’ve missed you all so much. Life has gotten in the way lately and I just took a mental break. I feel as though when things happen suddenly in our lives they can change us or shift the atmosphere. This week I’m going to get right into talking about the new NYX “This Is Milky Lip Gloss.”

My first reaction is that the tube is so pretty and the display in the store was so inviting. Then I stood there for a couple of minutes trying to decide on what colors to purchase. I narrowed it down to four shades that I could transition into everyday life. I’ve had them for a few weeks so I can tell you which ones are truly my faves! I love the way they feel on the lips and they are so hydrating. The application is easy and stays all day through your mask and all. In my opinion, it's not sticky at all and it's definitely comparable to the high end lip-gloss.

The price point for the NYX “This Is Milky Lip Gloss” is $8.50. I purchased them from Ulta. The colors I picked up were Cherry Skimmed, Milk It Pink, Cookies & Milk and Milk The Coco. I will insert pics as well to show how they show up on my skin tone.

I used the NYX Matte Lip Liner “Maison” it looked great with every gloss. Just keep in mind my skin tone, so what works for me might not work for you. I will say you can also play up your lipliner that makes a difference. This milky lip gloss would be an added bonus to any daily makeup routine.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend and upcoming week. I will leave you with these final words “I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realizes an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don't have complete emotions about the present, only the past.” -Viginia Woolf
