Hello Angels I hope everyone is well. This week’s blog I’m going to tell you how my Vegas trip with my husband and sister went. So put your feet up and grab a snack. You are definitely in for a treat. So let's get into it.
We flew out last Thursday. We had one layover in Atlanta. It was pretty busy in the airport that morning. We flew out on Delta which I loved. The middle seat was left open, but because Mark flew with me it was just the two of us. The plane ride was smooth. We had a nice couple with a maybe 4 month old sit behind us, he wasn't very happy. They kept apologizing to me because he was crying and kicking my seat, I really didn't mind it he is a baby. It's already enough stress going on than to worry about a baby being a baby. I was still able to get some sleep. We then landed in Vegas 20 minutes early. My sister had arrived 25 minutes early from San Diego, so it was perfect when we arrived downstairs she was waiting for me. I was so excited to see her. I hadn’t seen her since last year and it’s been 15 years for Mark since we left San Diego.
Luggage came out fast while Mark was getting the luggage, I was looking for DeAndrea. We finally were ready to go. So in order to grab an Uber, you had to meet them upstairs in the parking garage 2 level. Once we got up there our driver, Tazze was waiting on us. He was very nice and had the air blazing. It was a spicy 99 degrees but we weren't complaining.
We arrived at the MGM Grand where we were already checked in via the app. The room key was also given on the app so we proceeded straight to our rooms.
We actually were across the hall from each other, so I was able to catch up with her before we got dressed for reservations at Top Golf. We played four rounds at Top Golf and I was with a competitive group. Let’s just say a lot of my points came from them not paying attention, Lol. So the real game was between the two of them. We then caught the Broncos and the Jets game. It was a really good game, the Broncos defeated the Jets 37-28. It was a pretty long day so we called it a night.

Friday morning we were up early, DeAndrea and I got dressed to head to the pool. Mark headed to find breakfast. Once we got to the pool we were told that while we are out of the pool we have to wear our masks unless we are drinking or eating. We found perfect seats, laid our towels out and had our mini photo session. The sun was already beaming at 9:30 a.m. we had our sun screen and shades on so we were ready. Our drink of choice was pina colada. It was the absolute best. The time got away from us as we ended up being there until 1:00 p.m., afterwards we then took naps. Mark made reservations for 6:00 p.m. for Hard Rock Cafe. We walked the strip to get there and we had dinner and drinks. We went back to the hotel to change our shoes so we could walk further down the strip. Although there were a lot of people around, everyone was wearing their mask and being safe. We walked down to the Fountains of Bellagio. It was absolutely beautiful. Its iconic fountains with the dramatic aquatic shows with music and lights. The show was every 15 minutes after 8 p.m., so we were able to catch it twice. We then caught a hang challenge for 2 minutes on our walk back with a $100.00 prize. The winner was from Baltimore, who was actually the first winner of the night. I was so glad when we finally made it back, I was ready to lay down after a full day.

Saturday morning Mark and I slept in a little, then we went to find breakfast. We then walked around for a while then I came back in and I took a nap. We then went to Avenue Cafe inside the MGM for lunch where he ordered the Salmon Caesar Salad and I ordered chicken wings. However, I ate some of his salad. I then went to get dressed for the pool. As I went over to my sister’s room as we were on the waiting list. Yes, it was a waiting list for the pool. So we started watching Lifetime to pass the time away, right when it was getting good. They called us to come to the pool.

Once we got there and got our seats the sun was starting to go down, so we just laid and soaked up the last bit of the sun. We were able to grab a pina colada and have a mini photo sessions. We didn't get in the water because we knew it would be cold.
Since it was the last night we decided to find a restaurant to try inside the MGM, we made it a sister date night. Mark was partied out. Crush was the restaurant of choice. I'm so glad we got in, as the food was amazing. We went with the Crispy Shrimp, Short Rib Tacos, and Maine Lobster Rolls. We always order a lot then eat like a buffet, so that we taste everything. We are both foodies.

Sunday we were up packing and getting ready to leave. We said our goodbyes as her flight was later than ours. When we got to the airport my anxiety kicked in as there were so many people. Mark and I were separated, it was a lot, but I’m glad they were being safe.
It was relaxing to be able to get away, because the last couple of months have been very stressful. I think that we all just needed a break. I’m glad he planned this trip. The MGM Grand was very clean and they took all the safety precautions. Everytime we walked around someone was cleaning. If you need a quick getaway this is one to consider. This is all I can say for this one as we all know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Until next week, I will leave you with these final words, "Life is about the adventures you take and the memories you make. So travel often and live life with open eyes and an open heart." -Katie Grissom

Be Safe, Love Angel❤
